Where to promote your startup in Latin America

To get your first users and traffic in Latin America, combine four kinds of channels: directories where your product stays listed, launch platforms for a spike of visits, communities where your audience already is, and press and newsletters in your country for credibility. Below are 89 verified places, with country, language and how to get in.

Verified on November 2, 2026

In short

  • Start with what's free and lasting: directories and profiles that keep sending visits months later.
  • Pick one launch day and focus on Product Hunt plus one or two other platforms.
  • In communities, contribute before you show your product. Self-promotion without substance gets removed.
  • Approach the press with real news: a funding round, a milestone or your own data.
  • Track every channel with UTM links and keep the ones that bring users, not just visits.

4-week plan

  1. Week 1 · Prepare

A clear page that explains what the product does in one sentence, real screenshots, visible pricing and UTM links for each channel.

  2. Week 2 · Directories and profiles

List your product in the directories here that fit it, and ask your first customers to leave a review.

  3. Week 3 · Launch

One day: Product Hunt plus one or two other platforms. Tell your list and followers, and answer every comment that day.

  4. Week 4 · Communities and press

Share what you learned, with numbers, in communities. Write to journalists in your country who cover your space, with launch data.

Before you post

  • Read each community's rules: many only allow promotion in specific threads.
  • Always say the product is yours.
  • Don't buy votes or reviews: platforms detect them and can ban you.
  • Editorial coverage isn't paid for. If an outlet charges, it must label it as advertising.

Frequently asked questions

What's the best place to launch a startup in Latin America?
There isn't just one. Product Hunt brings the biggest spike, but it's in English and global. For customers in the region, directories in your language, local communities and your country's press matter more.
Is it worth paying to be listed in directories?
Start with the free ones. Pay only if the directory clearly explains what the payment buys and your audience actually uses it.
How do I get media coverage for my startup?
With real news, such as a funding round, a launch with results or your own data, sent to the journalist who covers your space. Keep it short, with verifiable data and a reachable contact.
How do I know which channel worked?
Use a different UTM-tagged link for each channel and check in your analytics how many users, not just visits, came from each one.
